Blown away by the breakfast! The attention to detail in the Napoleon room was incredible. The mirrors, chandeliers, and claw bathtub added a touch of luxury. The kitchen was impressive, with a fantastic coffee maker, toast press, and egg cooker. The selection of gourmet breads, cereal, and ham and cheese croissants was outstanding. And the evening port was a delightful treat. The homemade muesli, yoghurt with raspberry compote, fresh bread, and fruit platter provided in the Matilda Room made for a perfect continental breakfast experience. The antique plates added a nice touch. The lavender soaps and bath salts were heavenly. The hospitality of Katie and Jim was exceptional, making us feel at home. The homemade biscuits were a lovely touch. The bath soak was amazing. Everything in the hotel was beautiful and luxurious. The waffle at breakfast was especially enjoyable.
The lack of view in the room was a small downside, but the frosted glass provided privacy. It would have been nice to have an area to sit outside.

The accommodation was beautifully decorated with antique furnishings, creating a lovely and luxurious atmosphere. The breakfast provisions provided were excellent, with gluten-free options available. The bed was extremely comfortable and the Clawfoot bathtub was great for a long soak. The location of the accommodation was perfect, within walking distance to shops, cafes, and restaurants, yet still peaceful and away from traffic noise.
The only downside was the lack of an outdoor area, as the weather was fantastic during our stay. It would have been nice to have a small courtyard or balcony to enjoy afternoon tea or a pre-dinner drink.
